The Linux was distributed first time to the world from NIC.FUNET.FI 
in August 1991 and has spread wide and far since then.

The /pub/Linux/kernel/Historic has the first one.
Other Kernel directories contain more current ones which nowadays
originate from ftp.kernel.org. The mirrors directory has links
to the various distributions and other Linux related
collections we mirror here. ipv6 points to /pub/csc/ipv6 collection
maintained in house. Some other directories are there for historical
reasons or they are just old otherwise.  If you notice major
