This directory contains the latest version of the Unix distribution
of PARI/GP. This is Pari-2.0.alpha. The alpha means that it is a
ALPHA release, so be careful, and please report bugs.

Versions 1.3xxx are in the OLDVERSIONS directory.

For people wanting to use the readline facilities, take also 
readline-4.0.tar.gz.

This directory contains also some precompiled versions of gp (gpxxxx.gz).
If you take those, you will be lacking the C library and the documentation 
(take the latter in ../manuals). Note also that these versions are not
necessarily up to date.
