Roxen server configuration

Kill
Restart

/Servers/Global Variables/Server StatusDebug Log\

Welcome to the configuration interface of Roxen Challenger.

This is an introduction to the visual elements of the interface.

At the top of the page you find the Roxen logotype, or the text `Roxen server configuration'. To the right of that logotype there are two buttons, `Kill' and `Restart'. Pressing `Kill' will kill the server, while `Restart' will also restart it.

Below the buttons and the logotype there are four other buttons. Pressing one of them will select that section of the configuation interface. Pressing the selected button will focus that part of the configuration interface on the top node of that part of the interface.

It will probably make sense once you try it.

There are a few more visual elements in the interface:

>Node to be unfolded or focused
This is how a folded node looks. Selecting the little blue arrow (or the '>' character if you use a non-graphical browser) will unfold the node, and show it's contents. Selecting the actual text of the node will focus on it, thus showing it's contents and also using it as the 'top-level' node of the page.

\/Node to be folded or focused
Selecting the arrow will fold the node, selecting the text works as above.

*>Modified Node to be unfolded or focused
A red arrow (or '*>') is an indication of unsaved changes made in the configuration interface in this node or one of it's subnodes. There is no other difference in behaviour, except that all 'red' nodes will be unfolded if the 'unfold all changed' button at the bottom of the page is pressed
Modified Node to be folded or focused

There are usually one or more buttons, to do things that does not fit nicely in the 'node with subnodes' methaphore, like adding a new virtual server, unfolding/folding more than one node at the time etc, at the top or bottom of the configuration interface.

Some buttons, like the 'add a new module' button are only available in certain nodes (a node of a certain type has been focused). Those are:

  • Any subnode
An 'up' button will be added to the upper left corner of the configuration interface.
  • The 'servers' section of the interface
    Add a new virtual server\"\"
  • Any virtual server node
    Add a moduleRemove this configuration\"\"
Add a module to this server, or remove the whole configuration.
  • Any module class node (node with multiple instances of the same module-class)
Add a moduleDelete this module and it's copies\"\"
Add a new copy of this module class, and remove all copies of this class.
  • Any module instance node
    Delete this moduleReload this module\"\"
Remove this module, and reload this module from disk. The latter is only useful for developers and might not always work.
