If you find a bug, and want to make sure it gets placed into the bugs
database so that progress can be tracked and solutions found, please
file a bug report in the
bug tracking database.
First, get a copy of the sources. Then, start checking off items on the
contributor checklist...
It's a good idea to tell the rest of the developers (via the mailing
list) what you have in mind, so that they can help; you never know when
somebody else just had the same idea.
Copies of the full ISO 14882 standard are available on line via the
ISO mirror site for committee members. Non-members, or those who have
not paid for the privilege of sitting on the committee and sustained
their two-meeting commitment for voting rights, may get a copy of the
standard from their respective national standards organization. In the
USA, this national standards organization is ANSI and their website is
right here. (And if you've already
registered with them, clicking this link will take you to directly to
the place where you can
buy
the standard on-line.)
Who is your country's member body? Visit the
ISO homepage and find out!
Section 6 of the FAQ is a growing collection of HOWTOs, notes, and
reminders. Most of them talk about new features of the Library
rather than beginner questions. Many of the topics were inspired
by discussions on the Usenet groups comp.lang.c++.moderated and
comp.std.c++.
