The DDN MANAGEMENT BULLETIN is distributed online by the DDN Network 
Information Center under DISA contract as a means of communicating 
official policy, procedures and other information of concern to 
management personnel at DDN facilities.  Back issues may be read 
through the TACNEWS server ("@n" command at the TAC) or may be 
obtained by FTP (or Kermit) from the NIC.DDN.MIL host [192.112.36.5] 
using login="anonymous" and password="guest".  The pathname
for bulletins is ddn-news/ddn-mgt-bulletin-nn.txt (where "nn" is the 
bulletin number).

SUBJECT: CISCO DDN/DISN X.25 Standard Software

REQUEST NODE SITE COORDINATORS AND HOST ADMINISTRATORS PROVIDE WIDEST
DISSEMINATION OF THIS INFORMATION.



1. Please be advised that the DDN-X.25 Standard facilities bug, identified
Cisco IOS 10.2(7), actually dates back to IOS 10.0(7).

2. These versions and most intermediate versions will NOT run DDN-X.25
Standard.

3. Cisco has BUG Report #CSCDI-31252 opened as a critical action item.

4. Until the correction is developed, implemented, and verified on 
DDN/DISN networks, customers with a NEED to run DDN-X.25 Standard, 
should specifically request versions 10.0(5) or 10.0(6) when upgrading
SW or purchasing new equipment.

5. Please note that the currently approved baseline for DDN/DISN routers is
version 10.0(5).
